In a modeling composition for making casting molds for the production of highly precise castings, especially for medical technology, comprising refractory oxide(s) and a binder system of magnesium oxide and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, inorganic acid(s) is added to the binder system. An Independent claim is also included for the production of filigree precision castings, especially for medical technology, using this moldering composition, the setting expansion of which is regulated by adding an inorganic acid.
