The carriageway (5) coming into the roundabout (1) is divided from the carriageway (6) leaving the roundabout and the outer margin (7) of the departing way (6) close to the roundabout here runs tangential to the outside diameters (3) of the roundabout. Before it joins the incoming carriageway (5) the departing way (6) runs throuigh a straight sector set at a tangent to the outside roundabout inside diameter (3) as against the incoming carriageway (5) which performs an arc at the roundabout. Between the carriageways of the road as such in the proximity of the roundabout is a free space (8) for planting etc or for traffic signage etc.
