The method involves using at least one stamp (21) with pits corresponding to at least some of the pits on the measurement bearer (20) and with a defined reagent in the stamp pits, aligning the stamp with respect to the measurement bearer, bringing the stamp into contact with the measurement bearer, whereby the reagent remains on the measurement bearer pits. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: an arrangement for applying reagents to point locations, a measurement bearer for conducting a number of reactions, a stamp for applying reagent, a combination of a measurement bearer and stamp and various uses of the method and arrangement, e.g. for routine diagnosis of genetic pre-dispositions and defects.
