The cable to be tested is connected to a connector (1). A general counter-card (2) is connected on one side to a test apparatus (3), and on the other side to a specific card (4) that receives the connector (1) to be tested. When the connector to be tested is exchanged for one of a different type, only the specific card (4) needs to be changed to continue with the corresponding test.
