feed off method has sawn section (14) clamped behind sawing plane (8) between 2 cooperating clamp plates, allowing sawn section to be moved away from sawing plane upon completion of its separation from workpiece material (5), before pivoting transverse to material feed direction (9), so that new cut surface is positioned horizontally facing downwards. Clamp plates are moved vertically to drop sawn section onto feed off surface (21). An Independent claim for a feed off device for sawn sections is also included.
