The central acceleration sensor (3) is mounted on the centerline (5) of the vehicle and may measure longitudinal and lateral accelerations. There are left and right lateral acceleration sensors (1,2), measuring lateral acceleration. They may be mounted on transverse carrier beams (6,7), connected to the A and B pillars respectively.
