The method involves varying the scale of the screen or a window between two limits, i.e. for an overview image and a detailed view, whereby the entire structured information can be displayed irrespective of the scale, if appropriate by shifting the image section displayed on the screen or window. The scale can be increased by stretching the displayed information and reducing the visible image section to a maximum image density.
