The metering device has a measuring chamber (10) through which the liquid is passed, provided with ribs (15) at the top and bottom and containing a turbine wheel (20) which is rotated by the liquid flow, for indexing a counter mechanism (40), via a magnetic coupling (30) using cooperating permanent magnets (32,42). A coupling (24,34) for disengagement of the turbine wheel from the magnetic coupling in the axial and/or radial direction is positioned concentric to the rotation axis of the latter.
