An actuator/control (1) for a complex menu-controlled vehicle multi-function system is structurally and spatially separated from a display unit of the vehicle multi-functional system. A control lever (2) capable of tilting in all directions is arranged in the center of the actuator in order to control a selection cursor in the direction selected by tilting the control lever. Function keys (3) are arranged around the periphery of the control lever for selection of the main functions of the vehicle multi-functional system.
