The machine has a welding station, with welding frame to weld a carrying foil over a tray carrying sliced goods. The mainly rectangular welding frame has a pref. extractable central rail to divide it into two halves. The central rail has two parallel welding wires, and a knife projects through the space between the wires. This cuts the package (22,23) divided by two parallel weld seams. A sliding carriage (1) can carry e.g. two parallel sausages (2,3), and these are held by a spacer at a distance, which corresponds approx. to the width of the central rail during welding.
