Preparation of controlled release tablets containing the calcium channel blocker nimodipine in amorphous form, useful e.g. in treating cerebral diseases, under mild temperature conditions to give good release profile

In the production of controlled release tablets (A) containing nimodipine (I), tablets containing X-ray amorphous (I) are prepared by maintaining the temperature of the tableting intermediate products and the tablets below 100 deg C, then heating the tablets at 90-120 deg C after tableting. An Independent claim is also included for (A).
