The method involves initializing the fluorescent cells associated with image points by applying a first voltage to their address electrodes, and illuminating the cells by applying a second voltage to their control electrodes. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for compensation of different rise and fall times for fluorescent material in plasma display.
