Transducer body (41) for conversion of a torque or shear force applied to an electrical signal. The transducer body is made of elastic material, such as an elastomer, which deforms when a force is applied to it. The transducer body has magnets placed on its surface so that deformation of the elastic body by application of an external force changes the magnetic field. The invention also relates to a corresponding sensor with which the magnetic field of the transducer is detected and converted into an electrical signal.
