PURPOSE: To obtain a coating agent for protecting a tree capable of performing the operation for protecting the tree in a simpler manner than that of the mud wrapping operation and obtaining sufficient effects without using an agrochemical and promoting even the activation of the tree and provide a method for protecting the tree. ;CONSTITUTION: This coating agent for protecting a tree comprises an isothiocyanic acid ester, vinyl acetate resin, a water-based coating, metallic powder and a pH adjustor. Furthermore, this method for protecting a tree comprises a step for eliminating a part suffering from canker and a step for coating the eliminated part with the coating agent for protecting the tree.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
