Regulating Wobbe index of natural gas mixture by controlled injection of propane according to specified equation

The Wobbe index (W) of a natural gas mixture is maintained by controlled injection of propane. The control is given by the equation Qpc / (QGN + Qpc) = a (Wc) * b (Wc) where Q is a gas volume, GN is natural gas, pn is propane and a(Wc) and b(Wc) are existing functions of the Wobbe index. An Independent claim is included for the following: (a) Maintaining the Wobbe index of a fuel gas by controlled injection of propane according to the equations: WGN = 1/a(Wm) * (Qp/Qm - b(Wm)) and Qpc = (a(Wc) * WGN +b(Wc)) * Qm where a(Wm) and b(Wm) are existing functions of the Wobbe index, p is propane and m the gas and propane mixture. Preferred Features: The Wobbe index is measured with a chromatograph. a(Wc) = 0.0123 * W - 0.28248 and b(Wc) = -0.07154 * W + 2.55703.
