AIRPLANE SEAT WITH LEG-BASED ADJUSTMENT AND ADJUSTABLE LEGS

Seat (1), in particular for an airplane, comprising a seat (2), a backrest (3), a leg rest (4) fixed in an articulated manner to the structure of the seat so as to be able to adjust its inclination between a position (B) substantially vertical and a position (A) located substantially in the extension of the seat, this leg rest (4) carrying a footrest (5) movable between a retracted position and an extension position located in the extension of the leg rest. The seat (1) comprises control means (6) constituted by an electronic circuit (7) for pivoting the leg rest (4) between the two positions defined above and simultaneously controlling the progressive exit or re-entry of the foot rest according to a predetermined kinematics. Said electronic circuit (7) also cooperates with means (11) which can be actuated by the user to adjust the position of the footrest.
