The thermally insulating duct for a pipe (6) passing through a wall (2) comprises a tubular sleeve (8) and end disks (10) fitted on to this, against either side of the wall. Circumferential ribs on the ends of the sleeve cooperate with similar ribs in recesses in the plates to fasten them in position. An Independent claim is included for the combination of pipe, duct and wall.
