Tear-resistant silicone rubber composition for electrical cables and power fittings comprising an organopolysiloxane, first coupling agent with hydroxyl functional groups compatible with organopolysiloxane, tear-resistant polymer, second coupling agent compatible with the polymer with functional groups reactive with the hydroxyl groups of first coupler and crosslinking agent or catalyst. Independent claims are also included for a cable comprising a sheath and/or insulation layer and/or filling layer consisting of the composition and for an electrical power fitting comprising a layer of the composition.
