The apparatus comprises a container (1) with a hollow part (2) in which the corn is placed. Tongues (4) serve to brake a part of the already burst popcorn so that it falls back into the hollow part. A rod (3) enables the corn not to be exposed to the central microwaves. Recesses in the cover have holes which allow the corn to be aerated.
