PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems with the conventional decoratively illuminated signboards; there is the signboard which is formed by directly mounting cut characters at its wall surfaces and illuminates only the front surfaces of the characters with the lighting fixtures therein and the signboard which illuminates only the walls on the rear surfaces of the characters by the lighting fixtures therein but the former is inconspicuous when viewed from sideways and is therefore degraded in a signboard effect and the latter is visible black at the rear surfaces of the characters in the nighttime.;SOLUTION: This signboard comprises a cut character section 2, an illumination electric bulb section 3, a transformer 4 of the lighting fixtures and supporting legs 5. The wall on the rear surface of the cut character section is illuminated with a white polyvinyl chloride opaque color sheet of a neon tube and the front surface of the character section disposed on the front of the white light is illuminated with red, blue or other colors so that the signboard is made more conspicuous.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
