PURPOSE: To make any downward movement of a detent pin so as to be surely checkable even in the case where a push botton is pushed by a strong force at the time of ignition off. ;CONSTITUTION: In a shift locking device S, any rotation of a first shift locking cam 45 is regulated to some extent at the time of ignition off, and in this state intact, if a push botton is pressed and a detent pin 14 moves downward, a second shift locking cam 46 alone rotates with a second turning shaft 47 as the axis and it comes into contact with a stopper part 51. Therefore, the detent pin 14 is unable to move downward further than this, so a shift from P range to R range is locked. Accordingly, even at a time when the push button is strongly pressed in a state that a brake pedal is operated, any downward movement of the detent pin 14 is surely locked.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
