PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inclination in a roll direction by pressing a flexible body on which a magnetic head is mounted at two points striding over a longitudinal direction axis in the neighborhoods of the rear end part and the front end part of the magnetic head to adjust a pitch angle. ;SOLUTION: A head supporting device 1 is provided with a supporting body 24 and a flexible body 21, and a magnetic head 2 is mounted on the body 21. When a pitch angle is larger than an appropriate angle, a pressure piece 19 held by two angle adjusting jigs is positioned at pressure points 31 and 32 on the surface 7 of the body 21 and pressure points 37 and 38 on a surface 8. The points 31 and 32, and 37 and 38 form two points striding over a longitudinal direction axis in an almost orthogonally crossing direction on the surfaces 7 and 8 located in the neighborhoods of the rear end part 27 and front end part 26 of the head 2. Next, the body 21 is made to deviate in a Y direction by applying a load Fy to the body 21.
