PURPOSE: To produce an olefin (co)polymer having a wide mol.wt. distribution and an excellent processibility by using an olefin (co)polymn. catalyst contg. specfiic transition metal compds. and specific organometallic compds. ;CONSTITUTION: An olefin (co)polymer having a wide mol.wt. distribution and an excellent processibility is produced by using an olefin (co)polymn. catalyst which comprises a solid catalyst component consisting of a transition metal compd. having a transition metal-nitrogen bond (e.g. dimethylaminotitanium trichloride), a transition metal compd. having a ligand having a cycloalkadienyl backbone [e.g. bis(cyclopentadienyl)zirconium dichloride], an organoaluminumoxy compd.
