PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the inclining angle or angle of elevation of the optical axis of a pickup practically down to zero and to enable high-speed data reproduction having high reliability, in an optical disk player. ;SOLUTION: A support plate 35, a pivot device 33, a first adjustable pivot device 31 and a second adjustable pivot device 34 are contained in a fine- adjusting device 30. A spindle motor is supported with the support plate which is adjustably connected to a frame. The pivot device is arranged in a first prescribed position on the support plate and brought into contact with a first guide rail. The first adjustable pivot device is arranged in a second prescribed position on the support plate in order to adjust the angle of elevation of the supporting plate, so that a light beam substantially becomes vertical with respect to the rotational surface. The second adjustable pivot device is arranged in a third prescribed position on the support plate in order to adjust the inclining angle of the supporting plate, so that the light beam substantially becomes vertical to the rotational surface.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
