PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a correction mechanism by which the influence of the vibration of a suspension optical member is eliminated and which can correct the horizontal level error of an electronic level by detecting the angle of inclination of the suspension optical member which is rocked according to the inclination of a compensator which is used to correct the inclination of the electronic level so as to keep a horizontal level. ;SOLUTION: A compensator 12 deals with the inclination of an electronic level in such a way that a suspension optical member 121 is suspended from a compensator body 120 by four suspension wires 122 so as to be freely rockable. Light which is incident on a mirror 123 is guided to a mirror 124 on the member 121, and it is reflected so as to be radiated to an eyepiece part from a prism 125. Surface light- emitting parts 127a, 127b which are used to detect a reflection mark 126 on the tilted member 121 are arranged in positions which face the reflection mark 126 formed on the rear surface part of the member 121. When the phase difference between both output signals is detected, the angle of inclination of the member 121 can be detected. On the basis of the angle-of-inclination detection signal of the member 121, a computing and processing means 16 computes the angle-of-inclination data signal of the compensator 12 so as to correct the horizontal level error of the member 121.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
