PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the natural dialogue between a computer and a user. PSOLUTION: This dialogue method comprises (a) evaluating a future dialogue pattern forecasted by using the dialogue information on the basis of the evaluation reference, (b) selecting and outputting a system message to be outputted next from the dialogue patterns of high evaluation, (c) selecting and outputting a user message as decision branch of the response to the system message from the dialogue information, (d) receiving the selection of one of the user messages, and (e) deciding the next position on a topic net of a pointer indicating the present subject in accordance with the selected user message.
