PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for culturing shellfishes capable of completely and certainly raising spats and a device for culturing shellfishes using the method for culturing shellfishes. SOLUTION: This method for culturing shellfishes is specific to put spats A in a net vessel 2, put the net case 2 into a water flowable and protective vessel 3, soak it into water and culture the spats, pick out shellfishes A from the net vessel 2 after raising the spats to a certain size, directly put the picked shellfishes A into the water flowable and protective vessel 3 and culture by soaking the vessel 3 in water, thus, the spats are cultured in a safe condition in which the net vessel 2 holding the spats A is soaked in water protected with the water-flowable and protective vessel 3. There is no need to newly prepare any other culture devices, as the shellfishes are further raised after directly received in the water flowable and protective vessel 3.
