PURPOSE: To prevent the number of revolution of a main engine from being reduced when a propulsion clutch is fitted, and to keep the parallel operation of a shaft generator and an independent generator by driving a propulsion shaft system by an idling motor for a propeller shaft before the propulsion clutch is fitted. ;CONSTITUTION: Both propulsion clutches 9a, 9b are judged 'disconnected', and then an independent generator 17 and a shall generator 5 are judged to be in the parallel running condition. Then, a judgment is made which of clutches 3c, 3d for the shall generator is ON, i.e., which of main engines 10A, 10B is in the running condition. Before the propulsion clutches 9a, 9b are turned ON, the pitch of a propeller 16 is set to 0°, a propeller shaft 11 is idled by an idling motor 19 to increase the number of revolution of the propeller shaft 11, and then, the propulsion clutches 9a, 9b are turned ON. The number of revolution of the main engines is prevented from being reduced as the propulsion clutches 9a, 9b are turned ON, and the parallel operation of the shaft generator 5 and the independent generator 17 is kept.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
