The invention relates to a catalyst system that is based on fluorine-containing metal complexes, especially a catalyst system consisting of metallocene fluorides and aluminium alkyls. The invention also relates to the use of this catalyst system for polymerising unsaturated compounds, especially for polymerising and copolymerising olefins and/or dienes.
