PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely develop brain damage, especially secondary brain damage of an experimental animal caused by brain injury with an extremely simple tool and to surely and quickly evaluate the drug action on the secondary brain damage or the memory loss caused by the brain injury. PSOLUTION: The simple tool for producing an experimental model of cerebral nerve disorder is composed of a cylindrical stainless steel pipe 10, a copper weight 20 falling in the pipe 10, and a weight-holding mechanism comprising a holding hole 11 opened on the wall of the pipe 10 at a definite height from an end of the pipe and a holding pin 30 removably inserted into the holding hole 11. For example, the holding pin 30 is inserted into the holding hole 11 at a height of 10 cm from an end of the pipe, a weight 20 having a cylindrical bottom of 5 mm diameter and a weight of 5 g/12 g is temporarily held with the pin, and the pin 30 is extracted to spontaneously drop the weight 20.
