New lithium organic borate compound, non-aqueous electrolyte using organic borate compound and lithium secondary battery

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic borate compound which has high solubility in a solvent with low permittivity and realizes high conductivity, a nonaqueous electrolyte in which the organic borate compound is dissolved, a lithium secondary battery having an improved stability at high temperature, electrical equipment in which a protection circuit may be omitted and other uses. SOLUTION: The organic borate compound is represented by formula (1) [wherein, X is Li, a quaternary ammonium group, or a quaternary phosphonium group; R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently a 1-4C halogenated alkyl group, a trifluoromethyl group, or a pentafluoroethyl group.]. The lithium secondary battery using the organic borate compound shows low decrease in recovery capacity at high temperature, and can be used in protection-circuit-free electrical equipment and for other uses.
