PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow all terminals sharing a network to regularly easily browse the latest Web information while suppressing Internet access.;SOLUTION: The set request of the Web address of an information source on Internet 5 and its access time interval is registered from each terminal 1-1 to 1-n to the Web address registration part 42 of the ADSL modem 4. The ADSL modem automatically accesses the designated Web address at the designated time interval, stores the downloaded Web information in a Web data storage part 46 with updating. When the connection request to the information source on Internet is transmitted to the ADSL modem from each terminal, the ADSL modem transmits the stored Web information, when the Web information read from the information source concerned is stored therein, to the terminal which is the connection requester without accessing the information source.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
