PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically intensify harmony and to impart a pleasant chorus effect thereto in such a case where pleasantness lacks and harmony tones are thinned with the mere formation of the harmony tones according to harmony information. ;SOLUTION: A harmony allocation control section 21a sends a command for tone quality conversion to tone quality converters 11 and 12 according to the harmony information. A harmony intensifying control section 22 receives the harmony information via this harmony allocation control section 21a and controls pitch converters 13 and 14 by this information. If the harmony tone assigned by the harmony information is only one piece, the harmony intensifying control section 22 has the pitch conversion for obtaining the harmony tone executed by, for example, the pitch converter 13 and instructs the other pitch converter 14 to execute the pitch conversion for obtaining the voices slightly deviated in the pitch from the harmony tones.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
