PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for removing the bitter taste components in cucumber.;SOLUTION: The bitter taste-removing tool 1 is provided with a cardboard- made delivery box 3 into which harvested cucumbers 2 are packed, an absorption sheet 5 that is laid on the inner bottom face of the delivery box 3 and absorbs a large amount of water through the capillary phenomenon, and a holding frame plate 7 that has a plurality of cucumber insertion holes 8 with a sufficient diameter to pass the cucumber 2 therethrough, arranged in a lattice pattern so that the frame 7 has an almost same shape as the inner side face of the delivery box and is fitted to the delivery box 3. The cucumbers 2 is each inserted through the bored hole 8 of the frame 7 so that its peduncle part 10 goes down and the cut face comes into contact with the water absorption sheet 5. In addition, the cucumbers are supported in the substantially up-right posture to the inner bottom of the delivery box 3 with the perforated wall face 12 for the cucumber insertion hole 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
