PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for weaving a cloth, capable of simplifying a route of doup warp and readily weaving even a complicated doup weave of several entangled warps and a Leno weaving apparatus most suitable for the method for weaving the cloth.;SOLUTION: This Leno weaving apparatus is constituted of a skeleton heald mechanism A composed of a skeleton heald 1 supported by a heald frame 4c and a pair of doup heddles 2, a heald 3 having two stitches supported by the same heald frame 4c of the skeleton heald 1 and a heald 5 having one stitch. A straight warp Y is guided to the heald having one stitch, a doup warp X is passed through the lower stitch of the heald having two stitches, then the upper stitch and the stitch of the skeleton heald 1. The heald 3 having two stitches guides the doup warp X without loosening the doup warp X and making the doup warp interfere with the straight warp to weave a doup weave.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
