PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water ejector type vacuum cooler of small size for cooling an article to be cooled at a low temperature.;SOLUTION: This water ejector type vacuum cooler has a treatment tank to store the article to be cooled, a water ejector connected to the treatment tank, a circulation water tank to store circulation water, and a circulation passage for ejector to circulate water between the water ejector and the circulation water tank, and cools the article by evacuating the inside of the treatment tank. The circulation water tank is divided into a normal temperature water tank and a low-temperature water tank. A take-out circulation water selector to select circulation water to be fed to the water ejector between circulation water in the normal temperature water tank and circulation water in the low-temperature water tank, and a return circulation water tank selector to select a return destination of circulation water passing through the water ejector between the normal temperature water tank and the low-temperature water tank are provided. A vacuum-cooling step comprises a normal temperature cooling step and a low-temperature cooling step. Circulation water in the normal temperature water tank is circulated in the normal temperature cooling step, and circulation water in the low-temperature water tank is circulated in the low-temperature cooling step which is performed after the normal temperature cooling step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
