PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a T-shaped joint metal, which is inexpensive and excellent in earthquake resistance, and a structure of jointing between a column and a beam, which uses the T-shaped joint metal, by using a rigid T-shaped joint metal for one flange of the beam and using, for the other flange, such a T-shaped joint metal as to be actively plasticized so as to absorb energy input into a building, during earthquakes.;SOLUTION: This T-shaped joint metal 20 for the jointing between the column and the beam, which is composed of a T-web and a T-flange 22, is constituted as follows: a recessed part 25 is provided on the side of contact of the T-flange 22 of the joint metal 20 with the flange 2 of the column 1, so that the T-flange 22 can be formed in a state in which thickness is uneven; and a gap 27 is formed between the T-flange 22 and the flange 2 when the T-flange 22 is joined to the flange 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
