CULTURE MEDIUM FOR REARING BEETLE AND REARING METHOD FOR THE SAME

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture medium for rearing beetles having destructive metabolism product amount without formation of a fruit body and deficiency of oxygen by culture of monokaryotic mycelium of a mushroom. PSOLUTION: A culture medium in which a monokaryotic mycelium germinated from one spore of the mushroom is cultured is used as a culture medium for rearing beetles and larva of a beetle is reared in the same culture medium to provide an adult worm. One spore of Coriolus versicolor is put into the Petri dish of an agar medium and cultured at 20°C. When the mycelium is proliferated, the mycelium is inoculated into the culture medium of a test tube mainly composed of sawdust of a broad-leaved tree and the mycelium is cultured at about 20°C. When the mycelium is proliferated, the mycelium is transplanted to a 1000 cc bottle culture medium mainly composed of sawdust of a broad- leaved tree and one larva of a stag beetle is put in the culture medium and reared. These cultures and rearing are carried out by a technique conventionally used and mixing of nutriments are similarly carried out. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
