The spacer bracket (2) forming a pivoting connection between the distal and proximal aiming devices (4, 5) comprises two telescopic parts (8, 9) to make it length adjustable. The arms of the U-shaped proximal aiming device (5) are joined to the arms of the U-shaped distal aiming device (4) in the plane of the guide boring or nail groove central axes, using a rigid connector piece (12) rotatably mounted on one of the aiming device arms. The bracket can be pivoted perpendicular to the plane of the guide boring or nail groove central axes, about a joint (3) in the proximal aiming device. The arms of the distal and proximal aiming devices contain guide borings (10, 13, 13) in their wide end regions. The intramedullary nail (6) is joined firmly via an arm to the proximal aiming device, which is connected to the distal aiming device via a pivoting, adjustable spacer bracket.
