PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar wave height measuring instrument for obtaining an accurate wave height value by correcting, in response to wind velocity and wind direction, an ocean wave observation wave height value obtained by a radar ocean wave observation device, and to provide a radar wave height correction coefficient preparing method therefor. PSOLUTION: The ocean wave observation wave height value obtained by a radar ocean wave observation means is corrected by referring to wind velocity and wind direction at that time point and by using a correction coefficient read from a wind direction/wind velocity correction coefficient table in which wind velocity correction coefficients ksm and wind direction correction coefficients kdm are set so as to correspond to wave height values, wind velocities, and wind directions.
