PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a device, and a storage medium capable of photographing an image used as a substitute for color or reflectance information of a three dimensional model of human face by setting illumination conditions for illuminating the whole face uniformly and preventing a shadow of the nose from being thrown on the face so that an image generated by changing attitude and illumination conditions by CG technology becomes actual and has high quality. PSOLUTION: This three dimensional shape model generation device for generating the three dimensional shape model indicating visual information of a three dimensional object is characterized in that it is provided with illumination parts 115 to 117 for applying light toward a predetermined face of the three dimensional object from front direction, direction of left below, and direction of right below of the predetermined face simultaneously to illuminate the predetermined face uniformly, cameras 111, 112 for photographing the predetermined face irradiated with light of the three dimensional object from at least one direction to obtain an image having no shadow of the predetermined face of the three dimensional object, and a control part 150 for generating the three dimensional shape model of the three dimensional object by obtaining a luminance value at each point of the three dimensional shape of the three dimensional object as visual information based on three dimensional shape data indicating a three dimensional shape of the predetermined face of the three dimensional object and the photographed image.
