PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a lithium ion conductive sulfide glass and glass ceramics having a high electric conductivity at room temperature by a simple and easy method from easily available and inexpensive raw materials. PSOLUTION: In manufacturing the lithium ion conductive sulfide glass and glass ceramics, metal lithium, elemental sulfur and elemental phosphorus to constitute the lithium ion conductive sulfide glass and glass ceramics are taken as raw materials, and the glass and the glass ceramics are prepared by means of mechanical milling, thereby lithium ion conductive sulfide glass and glass ceramics are manufactured.
