PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit a reproducible time for each object on the basis of designation of contents distribution time.;SOLUTION: An encoder 1b encodes objects 3a to 3c of contents 3. A reproducible period information setting section 1c gives reproducible period information items 1aa, 1ab to a time dependent object in coded objects 4a to 4c and a multiplexer 1d multiplexes the resulting contents. A demultiplexer 2a demultiplexes the multiplexed contents. Then a reproduction propriety decision section 2b compares the reproducible period information items 1aa, 1ab of the time dependent objects with a current time to decide whether or not the time dependent objects can be reproduced. Then a decoder 2c decodes the time independent object independently of the reproduction time and the time dependent object decided to be reproduced by the reproduction propriety decision section.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
