PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open MRI magnet system provided with a vibration isolation system. SOLUTION: The open MRI magnet system (10) aligned vertically comprises first and second (namely an upper side and a lower side) assemblies (12 and 14) having vertically aligned shafts (22 and 28) extending respectively in a longitudinal direction, super-conducting main coils (24 and 30) and vacuum containers (26 and 32) surrounding these main coils. At least one supporting beam (16 or 18) has a first end (34) to be fitted to the first assembly 12 and a second end (36) to be fitted to the second assembly (14). This magnet system is supported by the vibration isolation system (20).
