PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artistic literary work reading system and an artistic literary work reading method, whereby rights are founded to allow a user to read an artistic literary work of a writer any number of times throughout a lifetime once a predetermined fee is paid, thus providing unrestricted reading of the predetermined artistic literary work by using the reading rights without deteriorating operability.;SOLUTION: In a communication system, a business unit 2 handling reading rights regarding artistic literary works and distributing a predetermined artistic literary work to a predetermined user 4 and the user 4 desiring to purchase the reading rights and read the predetermined artistic literary work are mutually connected via a suitable communication line 5. The artistic literary work reading system 100 is composed so that the business unit 2 discloses a list of reading rights which can be provided to the user 4 on the communication line 5, the user 4 can trade the predetermined reading rights with the business unit via the communication line 5, and when there is a distribution request regarding a particular artistic literary work based upon reading rights from the user 4 having purchased the reading rights, the business unit 2 distributes the artistic literary work which is an object of the reading rights to the user 4 via the communication line 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
