PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rental fee calculating device, a rental fee calculating method, a rental fee calculating system, and a service condition discriminating device, capable of setting proper rental fee according to service conditions of a rental article.;SOLUTION: A navigation device is provided on a rental vehicle, thereby obtaining positional data at each point during rental. It is determined whether a traveling point indicated by the positional data matches seashore or a bad road or not by using a traveling condition discriminating table 121, and traveling time in seashore and the traveling distance on the bad road are severally accumulated and memorized. When returning a rental vehicle, an additional fee according to the traveling time and the traveling distance is calculated by an additional fee calculating table 122, and the additional fee is added to a standard fee to obtain a rental fee. While memorizing traveling track data made by the positional data at each point during rental, the traveling time and the traveling distance can be collectively obtained on the basis of the traveling track data to calculate the additional fee, when returning.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
