GERMICIDAL-PRESERVATIVE AGENT AND GERMICIDAL AND PRESERVATIVE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel germicidal-preservative agent to prevent the development of microbes for a long time and a germicidal-preservative method using the same.;SOLUTION: The germicidal-preservative agent contains 2-bromo-2 nitropropan-1,3-diyl diacetate and 2-bromo-3-hydroxy-2-nitropropyl acetate as the effective ingredients. The germicidal-preservative method comprises treating a germicidal-preservative object by mixing the above-mentioned two effective ingredients or by using each one of them separately. Thus, the increase in germicidal-preservative effects against microbes in a wider variety of kinds, unattainable by using only one of the above effective ingredients, can be attained together with the improvement in persistence of the effects and the prolongation of microbe growth inhibition time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
