PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple member damage degree measuring device capable of easily quantitatively judging the member damage degree of a concrete structure at a low cost and a measuring method for the simple member damage degree measuring device.;SOLUTION: This simple member damage degree measuring device 1 comprises fixed fixtures 2 and a rupture strain judgment member 3 for mutually connecting the fixtures 2. The rupture strain judgment member 3 comprises a wire the ruptured state of which is visually judgeable and stiffening members 5 provided on the connecting part with the fixtures 2 at both end parts of the wire 4. A plurality of rupture strain judgment members 3 having wires 4 differed stepwise in member length are provided in the measuring device 1, so that the damage level of the concrete structure can be visually ranked. The rupture strain judgment member 3 has two functions of a tensile strain judgment member 3a for detecting the tensile strain of the structure by changing the shape of the stiffening member 5 and a compression strain judgment member 3b for detecting a compression strain.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
