PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect seating, a seating posture and also a posture imbalance from an appropriate posture adapted to the seat, and warn and advise the seated person correspondingly.;SOLUTION: An electrostatic capacity change between a lumbar vertebra detecting electrode 12-1 arranged in a lumbar vertebra contact region of a seat back of the objective vehicular seat and a buttock region detecting electrode 12-2 arranged in a buttock region contact region of a seat cushion is detected and monitored through conversion into a detection voltage E as an output value. The output value is compared with given criterion values K and ks respectively, and presence or absence of seating, a seating posture and also fatigue are determined.
