PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel which has improved fatigue characteristics and toughness in a fillet welded joint, by optimizing a composition of stainless steel itself for forming the fillet welded joint, without changing a forming method for the fillet welded joint.;SOLUTION: This stainless steel has a composition including, by mass%, less than 0.03% C, 1.0% or less Si, more than 0.5% but 2.5% or less Mn, 11-15% Cr, more than 0.6% but less than 3.0% Ni, 2% or less Mo, 2% or less Cu, 0.05% or less Al, more than 0.012% but 0.050% or less N, and 0.005-0.100% Ti, under a predetermined relationship, and the balance substantially Fe with unavoidable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
